He is also a first-generation, Puerto Rican college graduate from the Visual Communications Technology program at Bowling Green State University.

During his time in Newhouse, he completed an internship with Clarkson Creative Photography in Denver, Colorado. The internship included covering multiple NCAA Championships from Men’s Gymnastics, Women’s College World Series to the entirety of the 2022 March Madness tournament, including the Men’s Final Four in New Orleans. Most recently he worked at the 2024 Women’s Final Four and assisted with coverage of 2024 US Olympic Swim Trials.

His past work includes eleven years of photographic experience includes working for newspapers, universities, commercial work, and video projects for various clients around the United States.

It is his belief that fostering a positive culture along with great care for the craft is essential for a successful project from solo assignments to working with a team in large scale event coverage.

For his master’s project, he served as the Photography Lead for the Lake Placid 2023 FISU Winter World University Games. The project involved developing a workflow for 12 photographers to cover over 85 sporting events featuring international athletes in 11 days throughout Upstate New York. The workflow, which was taught during a Sports Photography Workshop, included the use of PhotoMechanic and Adobe Lightroom to process images with speed. The overall effort allowed the team to send over 5,000 images to the FISU Archives (International University Sports Federation) after 952 hours of coverage. The full site detailing the coverage of the Lake Placid 2023 Winter World University games is available at capturinggold.com. He successfully defended his master’s project on April 30, 2024 and is available for work in the United States and across the globe.
